Apparently if you put this stuff called dacron in a sealed enclosure (basically pillow stuffing) it can increaseur spl by as much as .5db?
is this correct?
wouldnt it be a fire hazard considering how hot subz get?

Search for posts in regard to polyfill there has been plenty of discussion about stuffing.

I think all that stuff about dacron is bull, i have had it in one box and all it did was break down and little threads got all in the vc and on the spider and i never notice an spl increase.
Voltage drop or batery heating up is the cause for the spl difference
