After looking through countless web-sites looking at cable for big powered systems, I have finally decided on the best and cheapest stuff on the market.
But I want your opinions because I have only judged my opinions on a few ppl.
And If anyone can convert the ratings below from ^mm to Gauge that'll be aiight!!!!
BOC Welding FLUX

16 mm cable
25 mm cable
35 mm cable
50 mm cable
70 mm cable
95 mm cable

I'm assuming its fine multi-stranded cable ? Some of the industrial stuff isn't fine strand and is a pain to bend..
From those snaps thats similar to the cable we'll be using from Blackwoods rather than BOC/CIG, but the same deal.

50mm2 is 0 guage, that's the stuff I use. Its very flexible and about $10 a metre.

So if 0gauge is 50mm, is the 95mm 1/2 gauge, if so that stuff would be huge.

Yeah i think the 95mm is more like 000 guage, i got a price on the 70 mm cable $16.95 and thats in Darwin

I think if the cable is easy to bend it should be fine in car audio, and if your going to be using loom tubes why not just use a cheeper cable and spend the money else where

I've been getting some quotes over the last few months (some may have noticed the group buy I had in the trading post section back then)...
My best price for 50mm˛ is $8.46 + GST.
I'm also desperately after a conversion calculator from AWG --> mm˛!!!
Maybe Earthquake could look after the Vic group buy and I can look after the guys in NSW?
What price were you going to pay from Blackwoods, BlackIce? PM me if necessary...

best prices: BOC/GASES
50mm^ + GST and Delivery charges from BOC
~1-10m = $$9.13/m
~10-30m = $8.21/m
~100m roll $7.30/m
but this is pretty much only for TAS PICKUP only

That welding cable is the stuff for SPL in my opinion,
It is fine strand, very flexible and welding cable is also acid/fume resistant, and most important it is also VERY Cheap (REASONABLY priced, which is a consideration when you are running multi Amped systems)..
This is a bit of a pet hate with me (and has been covered many times here, I gues we could all go out and get X name brand cable for our systems, and pay 400 or so bucks that could be spent on subs and amps, Oh well Im sure it LOOKS good!!/end rant.
