Im pondering on getting a Re/sponse 10" XL series sub 200w rms and was wanting to know if anyone has any good box volume ideas? It suggests 30l vented, but is this good?
A dood at jaycar said they sound better in a sealed box..... whats a good volume for that??
I want good sounding bass.... and lots of it, but the box size may be issue so smaller better, but if its not much bigger for better sond its ok, so ported or not? and volumes???

Well a good sealed box would be around 21L net volume. Of course if you happen to like a bit more deep bass, then about 35L net - with a 75mm/3" port 315mm long, which tunes it to around 32hz.

I would make the port twice as long as the one listed, will tune the box to the mid to high 20's and make it play deeper. 33hz is a little too high in my opinion and tuning lower makes it lesss boomy.
These subs sound greta ported so might as well take advantage of the extra volume that ported brings.
