i am thinking about entering street 3-4 using 4typer's. What amp or amps would be best to run these, they will be dual 2ohm voice coil. i could use 2 amps at 2ohm or 1 amp a 1ohm. i was thinking of just using 2 alpine m500 amps giving each sub 300rms. what amps do you recommend and what sort of price am i looking at. dont want to spend anymore than $2000 on amps.

PHD2 will push them all nicely!
or a pair of MTX's, running 2 ohm each,
something like the 500d 1000WRMS @ 2ohm(i think)

if it's 100wrms @ 2 ohms then i did alright to get 137dB from one of them in a big sedan yeah?

how about... a pair of D2's running 0.5ohm for burps and 2ohm for daily driving

1000watts @ 2ohms

from what i've seen most will put out about 1200wrms each
they will rock ur mind!!!

You could buy both of my amps for a shade under $2000 and give each sub at least 500rms of actual power. With the 4 dvc 2 ohm subs you can get two 2ohm loads.

i got mine off a dls ultiamte amp at 1 0hm thats putting about 300wrms into each sub, its enough to keep me satisfied

yer i was also going to suggest a pair of d2's 1k per sub would win ya some comps if your serious.

and if your onl;y gunna give em 300 rms or so ud be wasting alot of potential numbers as i found type r's can take 3 or 4 times there reccommened power hence maxaimuming spl hugely.

Roy runs 4 type R's in his ute did 154.7db last week new NZ record powers them with a bp1200 amp,has tryed 2 bp1200 but said they didnt like the extra power so put it back to just the one.Runs a bandpass box.

A pair of Boston GT28 would give 2500Wrms for rrp $2500

2 Digital Deisgns 3501 will give well over 2000Wrms at 12 volts, for rrp $2400. Has to be the best sounding D class amp as well.

If you shop around I'm sure you can get any of these combos on your budget.

Wether those subs can use that much power is another thing!
