why is this surprising?
8"s can easily kick a 12"s ass.
just depends on the sub, and the set up.
L7 8"s are used in the states, they have been going hard!

was going to do that

reverse mounted aswell but they arn't suited to mid bass duties that well.

It's surpising because back when i first got into car audio....big bass was 2 12" subs and if it hit 135db they were big numbers....now people are getting 148db out of single 8" subs

The advances in car audio are what is surprising....
