you guys felt the meter change hard! At Auto Expo we had a 146.9db in CAAdB StockA class which is the same as the old st1-2 class.

going on those results, it looks like the australian old termpro (used at FB) was a lot tougher then the other 'old termpros' around the world...

i dont think it'll happen this year... it's be hard. i think andu and the doran car are closest at about 147db... 3 db is a big jump, esp when you have to have the engine off. no point wanting 150 in street if there are no db drags. people have said QLD will get db drags, and CAAdb comps... but still nothing. i think QLD members should support the guys that are hosting the comps locally, eg autobahn, mcs and the like and run our systems in their classes.

Well in Australian db-drag history there has only ever been 1 car to crack 150 on the db-drag termpro, and only managed to once with a 150.3
And the only new meter in the country is run with CAAdB rules so we have a disadvantage of only being able to run 1 amp against everyone else in the world. So I definitely don't see 150 on the new meter being broken in Stock A anytime soon.
Current Street A world record is held by Eric Coulter with 151.0db backed up with a 150.9db

But in Stock A, you get to have your engine on...

engine on/1 amp or engine off/2 amps

Rippedskin what makes you think the Oz meters(old termpro)reads high, according to Wayne Harris the old mics only ever read high when out of calibration not low.
Eric Coulter car is a monster to pull 151db on the new mics is orsome that was at spring break correct? The NZ record in st 1-2 is 144.7db by Bart up north with 2 12" JBL Gti subs + 2 R/F bd1500 amps so I pretty happy to be not far behind with a 1000watt amp and light duty kenwood subs.

He thinks it used to read lower, because Hardon did consitent 151's on the old meter, but when on the new meter, he only did a 148. Thats only a 3dB loss... whereas the USA and NZ has found 6dB losses...

I have an idea why Angelos old termlab setup could read low, but I'm not going to say..
But I started suspecting it when all other termlab and freshly calibrated audiocontrol mics all over the country seemed to read almost exactly 3dB higher than Angelos setup.. Also the new termlab setup only seems to read around 3dB less than Angelos old setup.. Coincidence?

Angelo has the old setup and as you said will be using it all this year. CAAdB are the only ones with the new Termlab in OZ
