Well MElaney and me are interested in having a go with a sub 500 sub/amp combo. Using my two SQ Oz Audio 12 inchers runing in a 4 ohm load in a 40L each box rear loading (sealed) we got 138.9 on an audiocontrol running a crappy song (tone cd wouldnt work) but should be good for 141. This is using a cadence Q3000 rated at 300rms@4 (subs are rated at 350 each).
Now the intro is over, time to build his box and have a crack using his Cadence UD12-4. So any hints with this car, specifically the resonant freq and which orientation is loudest (rear loading etc)
Thanks
BASSULA
49 or 50Hz seems to be the 1 that I have always gotten!!

with the loading we found that loading it straight into the rear window seemed to work best as it has a nice angle to it!

you got a few goes to get close to my calibra records.. some world wide..hehe 147.7 outta a single 12" in a 3.75 cuft enclosure tuned to 15hz I think it was...heheheh

cheers

Well we arent doing that bad i think! the box is sealed and 1.5 cube each sub and this was rear loading with only 150rms to each sub WE are building the box tommorow for his cadence ud12 so it should be interesting.

sounds like some ppl are after my record.. hehee

good luck with it.. they do work surprisingly well for such a big car in SPL.. I think it has something ot do withthe wat the roof and everything else curves!
cheers
