no1. yes it will change, port tuning would go down in the 4cf box.
no2. chances are that 4cf would be a little to big for your single 12. if i were you, i would concentrate on,
1. new ports (smaller/bigger/longer/shorter) in the 3cf design
2. more power
3. try a different sub(s)
4. improve your typing skills (i have noticed a slight improvement, but there is still lots of improving to go )
thank's dude
well thank's for the answer's but im still looking for the BEST box for a mirage somebody must know what work's in a mirage ?
i will be hopefully makeing a new box tomoz
h 15 inch
w 19.5 inch
d 12 inch
1.5 cuft and
tuned to 51 .. to peak at 56 or 57 hz

hey what are the maximum dimension of a mirage boot, for a rectanglular box,
what is the deepest "perpendicular distance" from the back off the seat to the hatch, that allows the hatch to still close and seats the click in place properly
is it only 12?
also what is the maximum height, with the parcel tray still intact
i have a fusion powerplant i want to dedicate as a SPL sub, and im gonna build a box for it in VC week at UNI when i got time,
once i get my green P's i getting a mirage, and selling the camry
in a mirage you can go about 16 inch high .. and about 15 inch deep ... and that's just so the bck seat's can fold up and parcle shelf can go on ... but you can easy make it about 20 inch deep if you like .. and i think 36 inch across the box

I told you there's no "best box" dude! You have to find that out yourself...

if you have lots of spare time, just randomly make new boxes for your sub with different volume and port sizes and see which one is loudest.

I built a box for my mates mirage a couple of months back:
Tuned to 45Hz, dimensions were 16.4"Hx14"Dx32"W, 3cuft exactly without the ports, port dimensions were 4" flared x 6.5"(round adjustable ones from jaycar)x2. He wasn't even competing, he just said it was a new way of getting chicks.Pfft. He's running a Fahrenheit 12" @ 800wrms @ 4ohms.
Best dB was around 146 I think.
Good luck.

u said the boot is 15inches deep,
a 15 in sub would at least need a box thats 16inches on the face where the sub is,
SO, im thinking it wont fit, not with the seat up anyways

No, he means he has 15" depth if he rear loads, which is optimal for a mirage... thats leaving about 10" space from the rear wall...
