LOL... it's has been proven to some degree that sub on passenger side is louder. but it'll be good to see what kind of numbers it gets

in america they live by the rule that subs on the mic side create spl because the port created a $hit load of wind which puts the port all wrong

Yeah, they must drive on the opposite side of the road in Tasmania.
Anyway, the ports are better on the drivers side - its a just a simple phase issue..

A marketing company has contacted many people about the supply of TREO, US AMPS etc.
A "rep" came and saw me a few times, but every time I've placed an order nothing has come of it.
Adding to that, TREO prices are at least 50% more than DD for a similar type of product....

And the point of that post was?
hehe
the reason why some sub Beyond/Treo etc are more expensive is that shipping is deadly on them. Unless you can bring a whole container load or atleast a pallet load of them shipping is just crazy.

We were offered TREO, they had to be purchased directly from the USA, then shipping, insurance, import duty, customs clearance charges, GST etc etc had to be added. So a CSX would sell for around $1900 compared with a DD at $1300.
The SS TREO is also more expensive than the 3500 series DD (which dwarfs the TREO when placed side by side).
The TREO is a nice product, but we decided that didn't offer as good value as the DD, so we went DD.

I feel something needs to be said here.
Phil, this is directed at you but also other industry members that frequent these forums.
Car Audio Australia exists to bring the whole industry together, from manufacturer's / distributors / retailers / consumers.
It is an asset that has never before been seen in this country, and one that we want to see continue.
That being said, posting on there forums requires a little common sense, and a lot of respect and courtesy.
Certain members on these forums, from whatever involvement they may have in the industry, posses and are exposed to certain priveledged information.
This information should remain in the hands of the areas it was intended for and not made public knowledge. More to the point... Wholesale pricing.
Or even dealer pricing and margins etc. Just because you were offered the product and didn't want it, or it didn't eventuate, don't destory it for whoever may pick it up. We're trying to build the industry as a whole here, not just some little pockets of it.
Don't abuse the power of Car Audio Australia and extend some respect and courtesy to other members of the industry and it's consumers.

Yes, that's some funny sh*t!!
And only three world records? I hate to have to point it out again, but DD got 4 firsts at the World Finals and are the loudest on the new Term Pro meters.

PS What's with Victorians and their love of "Lucky Phil", sorry I meant "Luck Pil". "Hey Hey it's Saturday finished years ago didn't it?"
PPS To Marc and all of CAA, I'm sorry to get into a petty arguement, but this Zooss guy is asking for it. I promise this is the end from my side.

I went away for a few days to a competition on the other side of the state and come back to this mess!
Marc: This thread was never meant to be a slagging match between Treo and DD, everyone can look at my previous post's about giving opinions on SPL subs to use and of course I boate for Treo but also I feel DD and BA are very good subs as well but I have never used them so cannot personally say anything more than that.
Phil: I thought you were like 30years+ I have heard you dominate the Car Audio Scene in QLD, dont try to take over Tasmania!
I going to close this now.
Earthquake, I can see you had no intention of a slanging match. Sorry to close it. Hope to see some good numbers from Treo. Please feel free to restart a new thread and hope it stays clean.
Phil I will bookmark this page and refer to your promise in the future. You have done similar in the Pioneer thread just recently. I know DD are allowed to advertise on this forum(I have no problem with that), but good Advice earns more respect than an your constant Advertisments.
