i'm wondering about this too, coz when i bought my car it came with no parcel shelf so i had to make one myself??

well... caadb stock rules for hatches say that all boxes and woofers have to be below the parcel shelf... so i'd imagine that woudl be where the stock parcel shelf woudl be... i think an extnesion of this rule clarifys that a parcel shelf is level with teh back of te rear seats.. i'm not positive on that one though..

but wouldnt you take it out for comps anyway? so i dont see how a custom one woudl make a difference, especially in ur case unsecret agent where itll be lower than the stock one...

the exception may be it its been reinforced from underneath to prevent flexing etc and thus increase SPL... but if ppl have boxes that come up to that line then i cant see a reason why you couldnt have a stronger shelf there...

I will be taking it out for comps etc. But just in case I'm not going to comply with the rules I am asking CAA for some insight to the subject..
Marc??

I don't forsee any problems with custom shelves providing they replicate the factory shelf in terms of size, and as long as your new shelf is no higher than the factory, it should be OK.
