I Have a Pioneer (TS-W304F) 12" Sub. Specs are:
QMS:7.903
QES:0.581
QTS:0.541
Vas:3.063 (cu.ft.) 86.70(liters)
FS:32.3
XMAX: 0.44
Frequency Responsive: 20-2000hz
Its a 'free air' sub, but i want it in a box of some kind. Could someone help me with the design of a box? I am not good with that kind of stuff. I am looking at a bandpass type box, but what ever you guys suggest would be the best. Please help.

speak to sbadman...
he built a box for his old fre air sub which was a pioneer of some kind any may well be the same one...
he had to build like a 60L box though iirc...
and that was sealed too.. haha..
good luck

i'd go a 4th order bandpass.
try 1cf sealed firing into a 2.5cf ported enclosure. 50sq in of port, 30cm long
by the way, the figures are guess guessimates, but based on my previous knowledge with 4th orders, that is what i would do.

andu, i'd be the last person to persecute some one for trying something, um, un-mainstream. 'ripped was in another thread with the same idea . i tried pushing peoples to try different things (subbox enclosures) a few months ago but got bombarded by di(kheads sayin "but sealed boxes are better. if enough people keep saying stoopid things like that, then people are alot less likely to try new stuff ( not promiscuity either). s' all i's gettin at

ya just gotta be different sometimes... it's no fun when everyone at a comp has there subs mounted in a huge slot ported box. at least invert the sub to be different or something...

I would rather be "loud" than "different"
