Just a quick call for a show of hands of competitors who would be interested in competing in the "endurance" style of a CAADB event of average SPL over a 30 second run.
Maybe rather than have qualifying, have a one off run of each entrant, and give the average loudest a prize?
Allow these competitors to compete normally, just throw this in for a bit of "show"
I'd be willing to go in it, as well as compete normally, as long as this style of run is after the finals are decided in case of any "smoke"!!!
Whaddya Reckon?????
I like the idea would like to do some testing first to see how my scores look first

Mine would be lucky to average 148's, but it'd be fun to push the limits of the system to see if it can handle it!

I would be happy with an average of 140dB with the new termpro mics for 30seconds lol

i think we should make it mandetory for competitors to make the 30sec enduro style run BEFORE the dbdrag comp starts. it will seperate the boys from the men, and might also reduce the number of competitors in the real comp and hence making things run quicker

have to make sure the area is well ventilated to get rid of the smoke, plus im certain Bones would win it!!!
I dunno if too many people would be interested in frying their gear

So who's keen, even as a "demonstration" as well as competing in regular classes?

Ive already done one run and my ears are still hurting from sitting in the van even with the doors open. All the gear seems to be working fine at the moment but i will see what happens at the next comp. Would of been interesting to see what the average spl was.

I'll just put Marc on notice - I would LOVE to do a run just to see what the car does and how it handles it - I'm prepared to do it before the finals during qualifying time - after I've put a qualifying score on the board.
Maybe at the Epping event in a few weeks?????
If someone else wants to run against me, I'd like that so it's a bit more fun!!!!

There are no plans to introduce Endurance classes at this stage guys.
Learn to walk before you run (it goes something like that doesn't it?) That's my stance as CAAASCA Founder.
