Hi, does anyone know the stock speaker size for the front of the holden astra is? Im wanting to install some 6.5" jaycar kevlars in the front and not sure it'll fit.

in my 2002 model, my 6.5" mids fit. i had to get the hammer out though

does that mean its probably not a good idea to buy the speakers? How much hammering did u need to do? Actually haha, what did u need to hammer?

actually stock speaker size for the front is 6". the reason i need to hammer was because the magnets on my new splits (6.5") were much bigger then the stock splits and the actual hole for the stock splits isn't perfectly round. it is a circular shape with the flat bottom, so the flat bottom i just hammered in to make it more round so the new woofer would fit.

just remember, you only need to install the speakers once. it wasn't too much of a hassle to put in, so if you are planning on getting good splits, it's always worth the little extra effort to get them installed.
