Hi guys..
I need your suggestion here.. for my setup. What you guys think of DLS Magensium subwoofer type MW10 in terms on SQ. I will be putting around 200RMS power onto it.. Can you give me advice of what to or what not to etc or any other recommendation?! Thanks in advance...

i haven't auditioned dls subs, but the mag series look excellent. high build quality, and designed for SQ.
they suit only a ported box really, so take that into consideration. probably around 1cuft net (ie: excl port displacement) tuned to ~40Hz with a single round 4x18" port.
have you auditioned one? the RRP is $499 i believe.
if $500 is your budget for a 10" subbie then there's plenty of options too:
*diamond audio M6
*xtant hex X104
*boston pro (not sure on price)
*JL audio 10W3

well, audition it and see for yourself. i can't really comment cos i've never heard one. on paper they look good.
make sure you're happy to go with a ported box (probably no reason you wouldn't be).
does $300 incl the box? if so, just ensure you're paying for something you'll use and keep. that is, is the box well-constructed and to correct dimensions/specs?
nothing is worth it, as cheap as it may seem, if it doesn't perform to your needs. so audition it if possible.
oh, and check the impedence and that it suits the amp you plan to use to run it.

The MW series has recieved very positive reviews in the past in Euro magazines. I haven't heard the 10's, but the 12's impressed me considerably.

I'd be going with the model below, DLS competition subs.
They are rated at 210wrms instead of 400wrms and with these subs you want as much power as you can get.
200wrms is hardly going to get these subs moving, most DLS equipment has poor sensitivity ratings.
SQ though aint the issue

if they suit free-air, then could be a goer. installation needs to be thorough for best results: really try and seal the boot off from the cabin. only suits sedans, and should include reinforcing the seat-upright and using a nice chunk of mdf for the baffle (eg: 25mm), extensive sound deadening/fibre glassing to seal of leaks around the metal work and vents in the parcel shelf.
the well-installed free-air setups i've heard were excellent, but weren't with this sub.

thanks for the advice shiny...
but the problem is... ive alreadi got my amps occupying the boot opposite to the rear passanger seats... so if im going for free air... the only option is to put it on top of the boot... what you think bout tthat?!

parcel shelf mounting can be ok, but usually not physically possible in most cars. extensively cutting any metalwork will make the car unroadworthy without replacement bracing and an engineer's certificate.
and parcel shelves are usually trickier to reinforce against vibrations/resonance because they are rarely flat underneath, but have lots of ridges. the back of seats is usually friendlier from this point of view.

BINGO...
thats the problem... having to cut the metal work =( not a pleasant job at all... so yeaa i might just have to be happy with putting it in the box then

I would highly recommend a smallish ported box. I know Yanddy @ Audioart used this with great success for the MW12.

The DLS MW10 has got a wierd frequency response on WinISD Pro. Neither DLS's recommended enclosure size nor the WinISD (super)boom-box gives flat freq response. Same thing with my DLS W610.
How much is the MW10 cost? Did you buy it in Australia or Indo?
