Full Version: Dragster Amps?

Looking at the Dragster Series of amps, in particular the "high performance series" and the "competition series"

They will be powering PG Titanium Elite splits.

Has anybody had any experience with these amps? mainly the following:

**General SQ including crossover ability and 'sound'
**Power ratings: are they true ratings or are they a 'gutless' rating, if that makes sense.
**Build Quality: are they well built and in general quality?

I have really no idea about these amps, have never seen one in the flesh and have certainly never used one. Any help, as much as possible would be great.
DD Phil
As for power ratings, Rob's daily-driven Mirage was the loudest SS car at the dB Drag Finals, he used four of the "1200W" DA3602, taking down all comers including a car with twice the woofers and 20,000W.

I've seen tests in the European press and the Dragsters have always made what they claim.

As for build quality, the "Hi Tech" and "Competiton" series are all made in Italy and feature surface mount boards etc.

Which db Drag Finals Phil?

Have you used these amps yourself? Does the brand lend itself to SQ as well, or is it all SPL based ?
DD Phil
Dragster is definately not aimed at SPL, although the DA3602 (affectionately nicknamed the BBQ) will drive just about any load. I've used many different Dragsters, I've never been been disappointed.

Finals? 2003 Aussie Finals at Wagga.
