I have the following:

-JL TR690TXi 6x9s
-JL VR600CSi Splits

Is the JL e4300 amp powerful enough to run these speakers? Should i be looking for more power coz 4x45wrms doesnt seem that great.

What about the Alpine V12 F340 (4x55wrms)? V12 F540 (4x80wrms)?

Thanks..

difference between 45 and 55wrms will ber very minor.

80wrms your going to start to hear the difference...

Is 55w rms x 4 enough for these speakers though? Or do they need more?

i expect it will be fine and will drive them very loudly. you probably won't need to use more than 20~30WRMS for normal daily use.

do you have all those components yet? hooked up? cos then you can answer your own question. smile.gif if they go loud enough for you, then you have enough power.

or do you not own them yet and are considering changing your mind?

I have the speakers and am choosing an amp to run them.

Right now my eyes are on the JL e4300 which is rated at 4x45w RMS.

Need to know if this is fine...

Why not a JL 300/4?
Very strong, clean and flexible amps the Slash series and more future-proof than the e series for a few more $$.

the e-series is probably fine for your needs. but i agree the 400/3 would have to be significantly better and suitable for high-end splits should you go there in the future as critter suggests.

lots of good alternative though, depending on your budget. coustic and alpine V12 would be worth considering. also audison SRx/LRx.

but, IMO, the JL e amp should be fine.
