just wanna ask your opinion about the sub (Kicker 12inch Competition subwoofer, the stillwater design). Anyone has been using it?
How is the quality?
and will it match for SQ setting?
Thank you in advance for any input.

which year model are you talking about?
Kicker Comp 12's are pretty common, lots of members here either have or had them in their systems, including myself not too bad, but nothing really special, honestly it depends on what you're trying to achieve with it, how its installed and....well i could go on, try giving us some more info (year model of sub, type of car, enclosure you have, amp you're using etc) and we'll give you some ideas to get it working better

Thanks nemesis,
it's the 12inch competition Kicker subwoofer, Still Water design, it's pretty old amp.
I will run the sub with Zapco Z600C2-SL.
What's your opinion?
Thanks in advance.

comp VR subs have always been very good and overlooked IMO.
what's the story? do you have it already or is it a cheap option? auditioned it?
in the 'right' box (ie: designed to suit parameters and well-constructed) it'd be very nice. but that depends on what you're trying to cmpare it with. it's not an all-out super-high quality sub, but is very good. probably along the lines of an alpine type-R, close to a JL 12W3, etc.
