I had a set of dynaudios 240 gt's in the for sale section on behalf of my uncle and seeing that no one was offering the price he wanted i thought id take them off him....and im so glad i did. These tweeters on these things are sooooo much more detailed than my hertz hsk-165, the difference is day and night.

Ive just got a couple of questions to those who know about these speakers. currently i have them Hp at 80hz which to me feels alittle high after having the hertz hp at 60hz (and boy they loved it). Im pretty sure i can hp these puppies as low as 60hz but the guys over in the states all seem to have their hp even higher than 80hz+. Whats the reason behind this, are the dyna's unable to handle being hp so low?

Another thing, while the dynaudio tweeter kills the hertz one, i feel the midrange is pretty much the same compared to the hertz driver. Would boosting the midrange on the HU be worthwile, or is there anything else i can do?

Increase the hp filter so it plays less midbass and more defined midrange.
