i think this topic is irrelevant.
each product in every brand is different.

different brands are better at making different components that make up a car stereo setup.

Its really a matter of what sounds good, and what the install is like.

what a setup sounds like depends on a lot of different aspects such as the a) quality of the install B) the quality of the components/cable/sound deadening c) shape of the car.

Maybe this question should be broken down into a number of components?
such as 5 best companies for:
Head units
Speakers
Subs
Full range amps
Sub amps...
Of course there are more.

My personal opinion its more down to the quality of the install and the steps to sound condition the car and the most important aspect is getting someone with a good ear to TUNE and setup the system for you than the actual equipment you use. As can often be seen in europe and the USA soundoff competiton seen theres a veried amount of equipment used and its the quality of the tuning that counts more than the tiny bit of sonic difference that a component makes compared to that component.
theres about 10 high build quality built makes with great company backup out there that i would personal use that can all be made to give some of the best SQ in the world and its not all mega buck equipment either.
Just some may take a bit longer to get it setup to its best ability thats all.
just because something is more expensive does not mean it will make a sonic difference.

Theres heaps of brands that are great. You cant narrow it down to 5.
And what people consider good, isn't good to others. Anyway, everyone is gonna have their own list of what they think is the best...so someone may as well just list every brand in 1 post.
