Hi guys, I need some comment here........
I want to use 2x10" boston pro.
The sub is single voice coil 4ohm.
I want the sub to have good detail and tight.
I just wondering which amp between those 2 amps above is better for my subs?
Thanks.....

The MRD-m1000 will give you more power at 2ohms but other than that i cant say because i have seen the rockford before. However if you are like me and love the shmick looking digital display go the MRD-m1000. I've got one and it does the job nicely. Both are probably sound similar just depends which one you like the look of as you will be looking at it for a long time.

For the model, I think Alpine looks better than the RF.
My friend told me that alpine amp is not good for subwoofer.

And on what basis did ur friend make the decision that Alpine isn't good for subs?
I use Alpine amps to run the subwoofer (MRD-M500) and splits (MRV-T420) in my system and I have heard systems that use the Rockfords (501bd and 1001bd) for the subs.
I think my system sounds better overall, but that's because I've spent time and money on a quality install.
I have yet to hear the Rockford in a PROPER set up (staged, tuned, sound deadened doors and boot etc), so I can't really compare the two at the moment.
However, from what I've heard, in no way do the Rockford amps stand out from the Alpine in terms of performance. At best, they'd be on par with the Alpine IMO.
Also I think the Alpine looks a lot classier. However the new 2004 Rockford amps are quite impressive in their appearance.

Through daily experience with both brands it's possible to find good points about both of them. The RF amps in general seem to take a little bit more of a beating but the Alpine is definitely the better built/finished, more powerful, etc.
It's my personal opinion that the Alpine does sound better than the RF.
In your case, the Alpine would be an awesome amp to run two of the Boston subs. It's called the M1000 for a reason...it's capable of delivering 1000 watts into the 2 ohm load that two bridged 4 ohm subs will present as a load to the amp.
