Was just wondering what your thoughts were on the Cerwin Vega HED 12" sub? How does it compare to other low end subs, like the PG Octane R? For $120 brand new on the HED 12", can it be beat?

Anyone wanna make a comment?

I cannot comment about PG.

As for HED-12, I can tell you that for the budget, it's a good solid performer. It will work in a 1 cu ft sealed box or 1.5 cu ft ported.

The bass output is not so much louder than it's competitor but you hear that the notes are a bit more accurate and has minimal sluggish in regards to movement of the driver.

The 2 inch Copper voice coil wound in a alumunum former has good heat dissapation and fairly light cone mass.

Power handling is around 250w. However, even with 150w of power tends to do a good overall job.
