Hows it going guys.
Im looking for a good 10" sub that is strong on the low midbass region (ie upper bass notes) All the subs ive owned in the past have been 12" and they have struggled producing the upper bass notes. I listen to progressive, techno, electro so i really need a sub that can attack these upper bass notes. my front stage is solid, im running dynaudio 240gts with 230rms going into them off a hertz H230. I just need a suitable 10" to blend in well. any ideas?

Upper bass notes?
What do you mean, like the third and fourth octave (around 80-320Hz)?

Just do a lot of searching and see which has the best frequency range that suits what you want, then do a lot of crossover-cutoff experimenting.

Don't confuse midrange with upper bass though!

i never mentioned anything about midrange.

and yes im talking arouond the 80hz + range. most subs ive had sound good below 80hz but anything above that .......lets not even mention it.

My subs are crossed over at 50hz. I can only imagine how bad the Sound quality would be with a sub crossed over beyond 80hz.

Tried sound deadening ur doors to get more bass out of ur splits, then lowering the highpass on ur splits.

The dyns are pretty good, i wouldn't be surprised if they put out more bass than my 8inch woofers upfront

im very happy with my dyns and wouldnt change them for anything, the doors are well sealed and deadened and the midbass is fantasti. i just need a sub to suit.

I dont know what music you listen to, but 50hz lp is way too low for electronica. I use to run underlap but imo somve overlap seems to work much better.
