Nah, and I can see your point clearly, but after I did a little research on both sound deadening products and sound absorption pads, I came to my own conclusion that a combination of both would offer me the best midbass performance, especially as I could only fit 5.25-inch drivers in my doors.
As I said, one pack is all you need for the front doors and it can be had for around just over $100.
I would be very interested, however, to know if anyone has used Dynamat DynaXorb pads, which are new and are bigger square pads?
Also, shiny_car I think perhaps you are best placed to offer a comparison? You have well sealed and deadened doors already, so if you ever get the chance to grab a pack of either, have a go and let us know!
