I have a mate looking to install a set of Focal K2's. He has listened to a number of speakers and these are the ones he is keen on.

He has a set of 6.5" speakers (Fusion) he wishes to use as midbass drivers and wants to buy 2 way splits to make a 3 way front stage.

Original idea was to use 51/4" splits but i suggested with a 6.5" midbass to go with the 4" midrange, as it will belnd better with the tweeter for smooth highs and midrange. The 6.5's will then be run in small sealed enclosure to for nice punchy up front bass.

What do people think?

Have you tried the midbass drivers in small sealed inclosures.?
they may not suite due to some needing an infinite baffle door type thing alltho some work well in a smaller enclosure with my kicks i had to build them out and down the door sill for added enclosure volume for my 6.5's

No i dont think he has. We will play with them before use but if they dont work it he will be buying a dedicated midbass that does.
