my Morel Elate 6 two way components arrived today.
I must say that based on the build quality and thought that's gone into these, I'm anticipating that they'll sound fantastic.
It's a shame the passive x-overs wont be used as they're a work of art and weigh in at over 1kg each and the 6" mids have a massive 3" diam. former. Better built than my Boston Pro's!

Can't you feel the excitement? biggrin.gif

I was thinking of getting rid of my Infinity Perfect 10VQ subs for the Morel ones but then thought, "nah". They'll stay. Nothing beats those!

That's one of my 10+kg Infinity Perfect 10VQ 10", Magnesium coned, 1600w max subs without the Variable Q insert in the back biggrin.gif .

I know lots of people on these forums love to rate brands like JL, Rockford, "insert high end brand name here", etc for subs but these things are real sleepers right under our noses.
They go really loud, are really tuneable and sound fantastic.
They're incredible!

The Morels would probably retail here in NZ for NZ$1500-1700 based on various Ozzy dealer costs I have been quoted by the NZ distributor. Although I don't really trust these prices as the retail in Oz is AU$890 the set.

The Infinity subs retail at NZ$799ea.

I can't really disclose my costs because I'm in the industry and was partially sponsored by our various distributors here.
Our shop was the biggest Infinity retailer in NZ for the year and I'm the top Infinity sales person at work. It helps with me really believing in the product though.

I'm having enough trouble getting one HX-D2 head unit, let alone two biggrin.gif

Too bad the gear will only make it into my car once I return to Brisbane early next year.
