Has anyone heard them?
I am looking at the
CS 365 Profi Kick
or
CS 275.27

Leaning towards the 275.27 as it's a 2 way, and 3 way's just don't fit!!!
Any one offer any advise on them?problem is, i cannot hear them before buying, unless someone has them installed.... does anyone? smile.gif
Let me know!

i wouldent go the kickbass, they just dont play low enough,
i have only heard the older model ( i was thinking about buying them at the time) and i was hugley dissapointed, i beleive they have changed them since them but have a listen first.

Yes Fudd, they have been heavily revamped since you first listened to them, infact the entire range has recieved a Queer Eye makeover (geddit, Rainbow? I KILL ME!)

But yeah, the idea of Kick Bass is to not go low, they start at about 80Hz so you really do need to work on your sub tuning to get it right. The idea is to make the midbass snappier and tighter, at the expense of sub-bass but thats why most people have a stand alone sub anyway...

NUTTTR- my CS365 Profi Vanadium Kicks are going in my Barina next week, so you're welcome for a listen when they are up and running smile.gif maybe it'll bend your arm to shoot for ProVan's instead of "just" Profi's

BTW if they don't fit, make them fit!

'ix' has a set of 2-way rainbow splits. i think they're the Profi CS265 Phase Plug set.

i must say i was disappointed with the silk dome tweeter. there was a lack of zing and transparency about it. they were run off a Tru Tech 4.65 and tweets were dashtop mounted. too laid-back for me. the metal dome tweets may have been nicer, not sure.

anyway, that's the only experience i've had with rainbow splits, and i gather they feature the same tweeters as the ones you're looking at.

ill hold my jugment till i listen to the new one's (hint hint carl (get ya bum over here))

but i just couldent do the 80hz up, the xover for my sub is set at 40hz (and yes there is bass for all you who think music dont go below 40hz)
thats a big gap of nothing there!!!

I got a set of rainbows as rear fill, cant fault them but thats just my opinion.

Hey Aaron,
The 2 way version of the CS 365 Profi Kicks would be the CS265 Profi Kicks.

The CS275.27 are the 2 way Power Line speakers.

If you were considering these two, then the Profi Vanadiums would also be in your price range - I'd advise that you take up ultim8DTM5's offer and listen to them. If you find that you are after something a bit more laid back that those, then go for the Profi Kickbass or Phase Plugs.

Bye,
Mo

Thanks for your comments Shiny,
I think the Profi Vanadiums would be more to your liking since you found the Profi's too laid back.

Rainbow try to offer the customer a choice - we have 6 different models /make /kind of tweets and mids(in the range that is available in Australia). Not just one tweeter or woofer in various "trim levels".

Bye,
Mo
