I'm starting a new audio system(SQL system). Need suggestion for front split, between DYNAUDIO 240GT or 240MKII. what really the different? which one is more worthed?

Is cable make huge different? Do I really need Sound Deadening?

Sound deadening would be a must. Cables, not much difference.

Not sure on the exact difference between the two speakers, something to do with mounting depth/magnet size?

different basket sizes. the mkII is the typical 100% dynaudio danish beef magnet. the GT is smaller, shallow and really ugly for a dyn.

both have the same md100 tweet and the mkII, imo, sounds nicer.... but theres really not a huge difference. my mate has 240gts in his 04 rex and loves them to bits (sure the beef audison amp helps)...

There is a size difference between the two. The woofer on the 240GT are 6.5in and the 240MKII is 7 inches. Thus they can go lower and probably why it also sounds better.

well the gt has a much shallower mounting depth and was designed for use in a car, whereas the mkII is just a home driver thats been adapted for the car environment.......

don't quote me and i'm sure one of the dyn boys will clear it up

For Sound Deadening, what brand do you recommend? is GSpot good? Their price is really good for value....
