i just bought an audison lrx 2.500 amp and im now deciding on what splits to run off the amp. will the audison be to pwerful for splits? i was lookin at focal k2p's but the recomended power is 100 rms. can someone tell me if these splits will be ok or can you recomend something that will be able to go loud witht that much power. im mainly after good clear sound at fairly high volumes

set the gains low and you should be sweet the K2's can take a beating my K1's take 100wRMS in their stride... otherwise look into Boston acoustics they have some high power handling speakers... but with splits its not really about SPL so dont worry too much the K2's will be fine... upgrade to focal utopias if you can afford it

what about a set of Dynaudio 240GT's??
i have those and that amp and it sounds awesome and i reckon they are perfectly matched.. 200wrms into 100wrms splits..
altho im going the active path, feeding a total of 320wrms a side..

Dyn, Rainbow, Focal...
All good speakers it just comes down to what you like the sound of.
There are many brands out there that are worthy you just need to get out there and listen to them.

Look at my signature
Go listen to what speakers you like the sound of and disregard the power ratings.

These days, I think the best price new would be around $800...
But have you heard them? What type of music do you listen to? I wouldn't recommend them for someone who likes loud treble, like trance and similar electronic music as the treble isn't "in your face". I've found them to sound best with rock type music, soft(Pete Murray, John Butler Trio) through to heavy(Disturbed, RATM, etc). Although, I haven't tested classical, jazz or anything like that

Mate the K2's will take the power no issues.
I was pumpin 170WRMS from an LRx5.600 into my Polyglass 165V2's which have nominal power rating of 70WRMS. Just go easy on the gains and they will love the extra power!

3way hertz is what i'm running off that amp. For Passive setups i dont think there is a better amp for the $$$. Go listen to as many speakers as you can, then set the gains properly to the one you like the best, and you'll be in audio heaven

Personally i don't think the dyn's will suit your purpose if this is your kind of music.
Check out Boston Pro's..or if you can afford them Boston Z6's (around $1600 street price). They'd take the power no problems.

For high power handling, good clarity+imaging potential:
-CDT Eurosport's
-Boston Pro
