I have my Rainbow three ways running off 100 watts RMS at 4 ohms at the moment.

Now I am upgrading as soon as I sell my current amp and find another to suit better, i.e. more power.

Is it possible to wire my Rainbow's up to produce a 2 ohm load to the amp to draw more current so that I dont have to spend alot more on a new amp to get better power at 4 ohms?

Why don't you get an active x-over so you can run multiple amps?

This is the best way I can think of doing it.

OR

If they are able to be Bi-amped you can run two amps into them without needing the actice x-over.

RTTZ is the man to ask in regards to being able to Bi-amp them, he distributes Rainbow gear.

Hey Edy,
They can't be biamped and there's not much else you can do to get a 2ohm load...

How old are they? Some of the older Rainbows could be wired as a 2ohm load but that involved add on midbass kits, etc.

they are CS-365 and are from the old range.

I guess I will just have to save for an amp produces sweet power at 4 ohms.

My current 3ways are supplied as a 2way set with a seperate 4in.

Meaning that there are two crossovers, a 2way crossover and a piggyback for the 4in. I assume your's have the single crossover?
