you should as the 4awg wont be able to carry the current your amps will be asking for.

You will prob need a 0gauge wire through the whole car, maybe another 4gauge on top of that, a distro block to get the power to all four amps... depends how far your amps are from battery, im assuming they are 5m away

all the amps will be in the boot so about 4m away from the battery, also will the standard battery handle all the power being used?

All the amps will be running at a high impedence and being run active they wont be getting pushed that hard.
The standard battery will provide enough power while the car is running, but if you want to listen to the stereo with the car off, the battery wont last that long.
I'd go with 0 gauge power cable and run it into a distroblock then split it to all your amps.

I would definatly reccomend getting another battery for the boot.
You can have shorter cable runs from the amps to the battery and you will be able to use the 4 gauge you have in the car now as the charge lead from the front of the vehicle to the back.
From the back battery you can run cables to each amp and you wont need a distribution block.
This will make a big improvement on the power delivery system that you have at the moment.

ok so if a got another battery in the boot i'll be able to keep the 4awg. would i have to have the front battery connected to the back one permantly or only when the back battery dies?

I would wire it in parallel to the front battery so that it can allways be charged by the alternator.
Battery isolaters can be used but I have never found the need to use one.
The 4awg will be fine to run to the 2nd battery.
Make sure you fuse it at both ends!
You don't want to turn your car into a fire hazzard!

Yes, I agree it's enough to carry current.
However, in car's pathetic DC votage system that we have, the Voltage can paly a significant role as well.
Meaning, with a 0/1 ga wire, one can minimize voltage loss as much as 1 Full Volt at the amps power terminal.
So, the bigger the better.
