you should have a sub, for proper SQ anyone will tell you that its important to pay attention to the 20-80Hz range, unfortunately splits dont cut it for those fequencies, even the best ones, go for a 10inch sub and ou should be fine smile.gif PS i would go with the morels too, second choice the bostons
PPS you want a larger midbass speaker than 5inch if possible, or if you use a 5inch think about using an 8inch sub, just that an 8inch will pair better, try 10inch with 6 or 6.5 and 12inch with 7 or 8 midbass smile.gif

Im looking at getting the rallys or the fs60s.. will the rallys sound better is it justified of can i just got the boston fs60s?????.

IM AFTER SQ.

Definitey need a sub for SQ. A single 10inch would be the minimal, i'd go with a 12 if you could.

Out of those, i'd go with the boston pro's. Mainly cause they can also go louder than the other splits mentioned

A few other brands to considder.
Dynaudio, Rainbow, Focal, MB Quart and CDT
Try and listen to as many as possible.
Your ears are the best judge.

what about the fs60s cause, if i gota get a sub i can only spend 300ish on splits??? I will be putting 60wrms thru them. I have heared a lot of praze for them.

Would these be half decent installed correctly????
pingpong
why only $300.... imo, go for a budgetish sub, a not so fancy subamp, and spend $450 or so on the fronts which would put the rallys into the price range

any speaker can sound half decent installed correctly....... smile.gif

holy f***, the prices are huge.

I think i will definatly go for the boston rallys or fs60s.
would a jaycar amp 2 by 150wrms go alrite for the sub amp and just get a 10inch sub???? its all going in a single cab ute so not much space.

Go the morels, they are an awesome speaker. Diamonds arent to shabby either.

Id go Dyn GT's i think they can be had for 700ish.
And as for a sub and amp, just get the splits and install them and then at a later date get a sub and amp. For a ute i dont think you can go past an IDQ10 and an amp to suit your budget.

I second that. Although i can't say i've heard the bostons to give them a fair comparison.

I'd bend an ear to CDT's if you can find some- where are you located?
