hello all,

my spl landcruiser is almost finished, and am looking at my next project...
i wanna build a sq car
here is what ive got:
1 yellow suzuki mighty boy(daily drive)
alpine headunit, front, rear, sub rca's(its a 2001/2002model was $1200ish back then)
audison LRX 150.2 amp
hertz high energy, 6.5"splits (with ht20 tweeders and supplied crossovers)
hertz8" hv200L (2 of these)
one delcor extra batt(its a big one)

am yet 2 get a sub and amp combination, was thinking of getting the audison srx2s 2 run whatever subs i get...what sub combination should i use?? should i go 2x10" or 12"?? what brands?

now, should i get crossovers 2 run the 8"s, the 6.5"s and the tweeders as a 3way set?? or use the current xovers and ditch the 8's or what u recomend??

or should i flog this stuff and go for different stuff??? wanna keep the budget real cos ive put far 2 much cash in my cruzer...

am new at sq and any help would be sweet!!
cheers

Working with what you have would be the best bet, it doesn't cost you anything. Perhaps look at experimenting with a 3way frontstage using those 8in subs? Although I'm not sure how much real estate you have in a Mighty Boy!!!

hahaha, not a lot of room i know, but it will be possible cos there is heaps of room in the kicks for them. with the 6.5's in the doors, and the tweeders whever they sound good...

anyone know much bout custom 3way xovers?? can i get them so the amp gets a 2ohm load from 3x4ohm speakers??

i read the custom xover thread but it was all in another language to me...

I'd get a single 12 and run the 8s active with another amp using your rear ouput.

Yeh i would suggest running your fronts semi active witht he fronts midrange and tweet run passive and the midbass(8") run actively.
so that woujld mean buying another 2 channel amp.. or if posible looking into a single 4 channel to run the whole front stage.
just a suggestion but not really a cost effective one.

ok ive got a guy that wants 2 by my hertz stuff for 500ish, is it worth selling and going for focal or bostons?? or any other brand in that price range?
