Hi,
i am looking at buying the pioneer TS-C1625 which is a 2 way component speaker 220W and 60W rms,
would you recommmend this speaker or is there something better for the money. rrp is $399 and i will be getting it for $299.

i am after sound quality and loudness. I will need good quality on high frequency sounds as i will be installing a sik subwoofer soon.

Thanks
Hadamona
Talking from personal experience, the C1625's aren't very good for SQ. They lack midbass and are very bright.

Consider these for around the same price:
MB Quart DSE 206
Rockford Fosgate P162F
Hertz HSK 165
and umm, there are lots of other options..

i was looking for the Rockford Fosgate P162F but the only one i could find was the P162S is that the one you meant in the punch series.

If so do you know where i could get them from because i live in rural victoria about 2 hours away from melbourne.

thanks

Boston FS60s or Focal Access woudl get my vote

you can get the yellow cone pioneer splits for about $420, which are very nice speakers. Good tweeter detail, nice midbass. Should blend with the sub nicely.
For around $300, you won't get spectacular speakers realistically, and generally there isn't too much variation in quality for this price range. Just go for reliable brands like alpine, pioneer, boston (may be a little pricy) or JL audio (also may be expensive)

the boston fs60 retail for 299...unless you wanna go for the rallys which are rc620 - $499, i don't know how they both sound though, haven't had a chance for a listen to any of them sad.gif
