Well it seems my post is been locked by admin. So ppl I have decided to go with the PG. As for the sub, would a 4 ohm version of boston pro be "kinder" on the amp than a 2ohm version. From what i gather that's one person's opinion. What do u thnk????? And plz no personal attacks against each other this time!!!!!!!!!!!!

4 ohm is usually the nominal impedance of most car audio gear. I am not sure how the PG works with this being a regulated power supply but usually as you lowe impedance, you also lower damping factor and increase distortion.
The distortion is pretty irrelevent because you will not hear it in sub bass and also you will probably not get distortion at all unless you are abusing your equipment.
Damping factor can be an issue tho. This represents the control your amp has over cone movement. If the damping factor is too low, your bass might become muddy or might not be punchy and accurate, it might sound floppy. You want your bass to hit accurately and be punchy, not sound like a wet fart.
If am amp has a damping factor of 200 at 4 ohm then it will be halved at 2 ohm etc.
However apparantly we are unable to tell the difference of a damping factor that is higher than 50, I have not tested this so I cannot say if it is true.
The only other thing about damping factor is that there is no real standard that it is meaured in, so if PG were to measure damping factor the same as say Boss (this I highly doubt and would gladly bet money on it!), then a damping factor of 1000 would be a load of crap, and if an Xtant amp had a damping factor of 50 assuming that is true damping factor, that may rate as 2000 if it were tested like a Boss.
If I am incorrect, please correct me as I am only regurgitating information I have been told before and may have gotten it wrong along the way.
The thing is that we pay extra money for better brands because we trust/know they have been tested in the correct manner, this is what separates a cheap amp from an expensive one.

i would like to see the power output at different ohmage.
the JL amps which also have a regulated PS make more power at 4ohm than 2omh.
