Hey,
im just wondering what splits i should get for my barina, or commodore for under RRP $2000?
i have no implications for brands, but i want LOUD, GOOD quality.
i dont want them to be bassey, although i luv my bass, as my subs will do that role fine.
what you think?

Thats easy PG Ti Elites can't remember what the three ways are called (and I think they are $2100) don't ask me what mine sound like only halfway through installin them sofar theres a few people on here have them I've never heard these (and never would being in FNQ) before but everywhere I've been on the net I've heard nothing but good things about them enough so that I bought them without hearing a set. For other options Morel makes some very nice three way sets in that price range Morel makes the elites so I imagine they'ed sound very similiar, with your budget you could probally get something a little more exotic then dyns like the above mentioned but a dyn set with the esotar tweeter is in that range other brands such as Eton I have no idea about I think FHRX would be the best person to ask this as he has probally heard the most high end sets out of anyone on here.

Sifn't Horns if you want loud
CD1Pro Mini Horns $999
Digital Designs DDW6.5 $500
Cant get much better than this.
Get a 6 channel amp, bridge 4 of the channels to the midbass drivers and run the horns off the otehr 2 channels. The horns are so sensitive that with 50wrms they will go louder than any normal car audio tweeter in the world while staying crystal clear.
The midbass drivers will need power to put out heaps of bass thats why it would be best to bridge 4 channels. Power is what you need to produce loud bass.
The best SQ cars in the world use Horns.

Alot of people have there horns quite well hidden though I imagine this would be bloody expensive regardless I think you need a much bigger budget to do horns properly your better off with normal speakers.

I fit my horns in 2 hours and looks heaps good.
To fit big tweeters ur gonna need custom kick panels or A pillar mounts to angle them correctly.
This is going to cost more than installing some horns. They just bolt up underneith the dash on each side.

aparently there's a set here... can't remember where i read it tho. perhaps the forsale forum actually...
but yeah, for $2k, given an appropriate budget for installation and a suitable car, the 240esotars get me all exceited.
the 3way pg ti elites are also nice!
