Hi guys(and gals)
I currrently run a Boston Pro12.5lf(4 ohm) of the X600.1. And i'mlooking to get a Ti600.2 for the fronts. My question is If i cud find 2 Ti600.2s should i run the boston off one of them bridged????? Would there be any SQ effects in bridging(keep in mind to a subwoofer).
Thanks.

ps: Im looking for one possibly two Ti600.2 or higher (eg 1000.2, 1200.1,or 800.1) anyone????

the ti's are lovely. you won't go wrong.

if you're looking second hand there's a stack of pg's out there from days gone by that rawk!

otherwise, to answer your question, most amps' damping factor decreases significantly into lower impedances/bridged loads so it could be argued that a bridged 2ch amp into a sub WILL make a difference.

the human ear's perception of the lower bass region is so crap, however, that i challenge anyone to hear the difference!

so, to sum up... a difference exists, but you won't hear it.

a 600.2 would be good for a subbie, yes. be a treat with your 12.5lf. also good as a front stage amp. and they're pretty to look at!!! smile.gif

I have a 600.2Ti that'll be used to drive my subs when the car arrives.
Awesome amp for either front or sub duties.
If you can find two and you have the extra cash, then it's not wasted money.
The general consensus on the PG forums (on the PG website) is that the older ZPA and the Ti stuff has been the best that PG have made ever.

All the rest is good but not in the same league.

In my first Ti install i used a 600.2 bridged to power 2 10" 4ohm subs and it worked very well.
I then used the 600.2 to power 6.5" mid bass drivers in the doors and bought a Ti 800.1 to power the subs.
Either one would work very well but if it were me i would use the 800.1 for sub. More options on the amp to control the sub better.

Edit: If you already have the Xenon X600.1 have you thought about getting the X200.2 for your front stage.

Hey E320.
Thanks for your input. I was hoping to hear from ppl who've used the amps before.
Problem i have with the amps is that these i think will be hard to find esp .1 versions. Besides doesnt 600.2 bridged put out more than 800.1 on 4ohms???
The X's are nice but i'm thinking of getting Ti6s and want to match amp aesthetically aswell. Hense 600.2 or 1000.2. Then X600.1 will look out of place

Yes i think your right the Ti600.2 bridged into 4 ohms is 600 watts whereas the Ti 800.1 is 400 watts into 4 ohms.
I had a look on the birth sheet of my 800.1 and it states 934 watts into 2 ohms.
The birth sheet for my 600.2 states 627 watts into 4 ohms bridged but does not give any figures for 2 ohms.
I don't think you will go wrong with either amp though.
