Heya guys, just need some help in finding a pair of woofers to suit my application.

Some time ago i bought a set of alpine type r splits, and had some trouble putting them in my 88 civic. In the end i covered the grill hole with mdf and installed them there. but ive found the drivers are just too heavy, and the grills are really getting kicked around. I want to put them into the stock locations (into the door itself), but i lack about an inch of clearance. Are there any woofers that will match my needs, i want them 6", but not so deep a profile. If any one can help me twould be beaut.

Cheers, Wi||.

Focal make a slim range of speakers, they may lack a little midbass but I am sure they would sound very sweet.

Other than that, maybe some infinity's or even some Kenwood Dual Mags - they are real thin, but less quality.

Any of the slimline series from different manufacturers will do fine. If you like Alpine, have a listen to the DDLinear's. If not, then there are a few others out there, DLS is another that comes to mind.

Am I able to buy these speakers seperately, or will I have to source them second hand. Also, how much would they be??
