Hey guys, its coming up to Xmas holidays and I'll have a bit of free time to fill during my break.
So what tutorials, tests or technical articles would you like to see ?
On the list already is:
Loading testing a Hyundai X2-X3 Excel hatch
Loading testing a Holden VN-VS Commodore sedan
Installing a perspex viewing panel in your sub box
If I dont botch it up, you'll also see:
Etching perspex. Etching etching, not stick-on etching.
A small tute on custom painting amplifiers.
I'll try and get my hands on a Mirage, Pulsar & VY Commodore to do some loading testing on those too (I can only test in cars friends/family own).
So come on, these articles are for you guys and there's no point me doing tech articles on things no ones interested in.

LOL
I've also got a real long list of tech articles that I may get around to writing eventually..
The next articles that I'll do will be explaining power ratings of speakers, RMS vs peak power, explaining underpowering, overpowering and clipping.
Then also explaining bridging of amplifiers.
RCA splitters, headunit voltage etc
Explaining port tuning, and recommended port diameter vs power, subwoofer diameter etc.
Basic info on imaging and localisation of sound
and heaps of other articles that I may or may not get around to doing...
All installation tutorials are a good idea for others to do...
Blackice, in the perspex window tutorial, could you also include info on glass vs perspex, recommended thicknesses etc

This is a good one!
Also needs to be included basic wiring - ie running cables from boot to h/u, battery, grounding etc (for a commodore

) so newbies like me can spend hours trying to do it themselves before paying someone $88 to run 2 cables up the car. I actually havent looked at my existing wiring - I'm just being slack.

Anyway if there's one thing I'd like to see it would be putting the Setting Your Gains tute as a sticky!! It's really a very important topic and shouldn't be on page 2/3!

How to install an aftermarket head unit into a "92 Mazda 626.
I'm trying to do one at the moment. I figured out how to get the stock Philips HU out with 4 steel prongs I made from an old coat hanger. What I need to know is how to wire it up (I'm unable to find a wiring diagram for this model) and how to properly connect the power antenna.
Surely there's someone out there who's done one of these before who could give me a few tips... any would be greatly appreciated!
EDIT: Nevermind about this one for now... I found a good guide on installdr.com which I'll use for now. If I still have more problems I'll ask back here again.

Infinite Baffle subwoofer system

Some examples or pics and what type of System each of these will suit
What Speaker specs would be recommened for each of these setups
Why would you use one for spl and another for SQ.

I'd like to see a tute explaining how to match up speakers and amps - I'm in the process of doing it now, and although I basically figured it out, it took a lot of research and a few hours to wade through the crap and find something useful.
