both are splits abviously

now - the morel is a bit cheaper through fhrx but
i am wondering what the difference between the two are
such as sound
power rating and what not

i do like the bass from the mbq woofer and the tweeter is perfect to me
i have never heard any morel stuffs so if someone could give me a comparason of the two it would be much appreciated

i still cannon decide what to buy

i have listened to the focals of the same-ish price and didnt like them
and im pretty set on the mb's but yeah - i want to be happy with my 450 to 550 dollar purchase

thanks in advance

I am not a big fan of MB Quart but i know that it is dry, bright and metallic... the mid is not bad... and IMO MB Quart is better than Focal... even better than the Kevlar and Utopia series...

If you wanna widden your selection of splits, why don't you go for Dynaudio, Vifa and Seas? For splits, i prefer the european brand and soft dome (silk) tweeter... BUT if you like the characteristic of MB Quart, you might not like Dynaudio, Vifa and Seas...

thats why im pretty much set on the mb's, but just wanted to know a bit about some other splits

I prefer my MBQ's over the focals, can't flaw them execpt maybe my lowpass isnt steep enough sad.gif Female vocals (Eg KD Lang) are smooth and clear, even at full volume, male vocals sound great but does seem as though somethings missing, (eg: enrique isglses (sp))
I got my references for $500 6months ago and loved them ever since smile.gif

With that price range, i still reckon the dyn will definitely sound better than MBQ... or even vifa and seas...

good dyn's are expensive arent they??
the mbq's are more fitting to his 450-550 price range.
