just in a moment of boredom (and i'm contemplating buying one later in the year), what way would you all go for getting a sweet sounding, but f*****g loud system into a NL fairlane or a DL LTD?

nothing insanely expensive, so please keep it within boundaries..... up to $15k or so i guess....

someone? anyone?

I have an NA fairlane which go pretty loud when set up that way.

My SQ setup was.
Veritas Horns - Radian 475pb driver. - run from bridged Orion XTR475
IDQ8 for midbass - driven from Orion XTR475
IDQ12 x 3 in an AP enclosure in the boot driven from Orion HCCA1000

When put in a sealed enclosure then subs punded very hard.

It was however a very difficult install and would probably blow your 15K budget. I would go for some dyn splits in the front and some brahmas or so in the rear sealed enclosure. All with lots of power.

i had been debating the idea of a set of JL Audio XR series 3-way splits and a pair of 12/13W7's..... the subs driven by a tru-tech hammer/sledge hammer, dunno which amp for the splits

what about HU suggestions? i'm tempted to go nakamichi

oh c'mon, do i have to start offering points for good suggestions?

not really concerned about w@nk factor, just a nice clean install that sounds good and goes hard

I guess the possible problems is the size of the cabin and the type of interior (sound absorbing material).
In my LTD I have the standard splits up front, the coax in reat and a pair of 12's in the boot. It sounds good to me but I don't know how it would go in SQ.

Also due to the size of the cabin, you may have staging and time alinement issues.
