Hi.
I just bought a Dynaudio 240 MKII and need a new amplifier for this. I can get a Zapco C2k-4.0x for about 1/3 of RRP.
But i would like to be able to run the sub of the same amp. Coz my car has a 60A alt, and i cant upgrade it to much more than 90A. So how would it be to run a sub from this amp (Rated 300W RMS Bridged)? And what kind of sub would you recommend for it?
I've also tought about getting a Soundstream TR500/4 or TR800/5 instead. But thats not in the same class as Zapco C2k amps.
Im not able to audiotion any subs, since i live in Norway. And the range of products is kind of limited. So i need to import from US.

omg, Zapco c2k amps are horn :thumb: if you can get one at 1/3 of RRP, GO FOR IT!!!
the c2k-4.0x is rated at 2x300wrms @ 4ohm, or 1x2000wrms @ 2ohm.
buy 2 and run your front stage off one, and sub from the other.
i would DEFINITELY go Zapco c2k over SS

Sounds great, but its rated
Stereo, 4 ohms: 4x100 Watts
Stereo, 2 ohms: 4x150 Watts
Bridged, 4 ohms: 2x300 Watts
So i wonder if im able to run some kind of "great" sub of the last 300 Watts.
Maybe an IDMax12 ?

Paasan is correct - link to ratings:

Yes, a good sub, such as an Idmax will run fine from a bridged channel. It might not push the sub to its absolute limits, but it will be fine for a sound quality system.
