hey all, i was just wondering which of these amps would be best for running ym front splits, Ive got a budget of $800 and looking for a 2ch amp to power focal k2p's which are 100wrms.im after sq with lotsa midbass(very punchy) thus y i opted for the focals + the fact that the supra only has no more than 2.5" of room within the doors, but i will tune down the tweets if i think the sound a bit bright
Id really apreatiate the input guys, and if you guys could reccomend me another brand under the budget, id be happy to look toward it.im planning to get $800 worth splits so it wound only make sence to power them correctly with some $800 sq quality amps.
i was generally looking at: remember budget of $800
-tru tech T-2.100
-Zapco reference 350.2
-Audison Vrx 2.150
p.s. i hate pioneer, p.g., rockford , alpine(dont ask, just too brand oriented imo)

TRU all the way IMO... at least you're getting handbuilt from the best bits available, so even if there are no other differences at least you have the prestige

they are both excellent amps but I would have to recommend Tru over the Zapco purely because of my experience with them. I would offer you a listen to mine but I'm in QLD.

I'll go for Trutech... as I use Trutech atm and i'm very much happy with it... if you need a detail, mellow and heavy bass, Trutech will deliver it...
Audison is a great amp but compare to Trutech, I'll still prefer Trutech...
I wouldn't recommend you Zapco... zapco is too dry... doesn't mix well with Focal...
Why don't you try Nu-Dimension??? As I remember, focal itself use Nu-Dimension amp in their showcars...

I have Tru Technology in my car and I'm happy with them. The T-2.100 will output circa 2x170rms@4ohms.
I have listened to Zapco also and couldn't hear an audible difference, however I certainly heard their fans! Oooft...
I have not listened to the Audison though so cannot comment.

Bolly vs Moet vs Cliquiot.
or
Jack vs Makers vs Turkey.
Depends where you're from I guess.
Either way the answer's the same.

I didn't attend the competition... the reason being is because there is no judging standard on that competition... lots of ppl from previous competition complain the judges... what the judges did are adjusting the judging criteria according to the cars... another reason is because last week was raining damn hard... and flood everywhere... LOL...
Apparently, the next competition is on March by IASCA... i will definitely attend that...
reply to psyco_dvl:
I think AUDISON's characters should match Focal's characters very well...

I think pysco_dvl trying to ask ppl in the forum about their opinion and experience about those amps... and IMO you are not helping him at all...

Pioneer deh-5650mp
fronts:
Alpine typex SPX-176A
front amp:
Rockford fosgate Power 351s
sub:
Phoenix Gold Ti10
sub amp:
Rockford fosgate Power 451s
and its wicked! Oh i have boston FX-8 5x7's in the back running off the deck too

He was obviously saying he doesnt like these brands, and is not interested in them, for whatever reason. Whats wrong with that? He asked for a recommendation and said what hes not interested in order to narrow down the list.. imo thats a good thing. Personally I also dont like those brands (with the exception of Phoenix Gold and Pioneer for their HU's)

My point was that they are all top shelf. Premium, excellent, awesome etc.
You'd be happy with any of them, what it boils down to is personal preference.
Sorry for having a sense of humour, I'll crawl back in my box now.
