Hey guys and gals.

I installed my second amp which is an old Kicker 352XI to a pair of boston splits and I noticed signal from one side cutting out and coming back in again. I jiggled the rca cables and swapped it and the problem still remained. I noticed the rca input was loose. It only appears on the same side and I know I soldered the terminals to the Boston splits.

I did not have this problem with the bostons run of by the head unit until I installed the amp so I am assuming that the amp is at fault. Did anyone ever have this issue ? Secondly, I could open up the amp and see if I can solder the RCA so it has a strong contact to the circuit board. Any ideas ..what do you guys think???

time to break out the soldering iron!

My pioneer has a similar design issue - the RCA's are only pressed into the plastic holder.
I bent the sucker a bit, and pressed it in harder - voila!

Apparently I found out it was the faulty RCA and not the amp. I will replace the RCA at once...causing interuption to my beautiful music and giving Kicker a bad name. Thanks for all your advice CAA members. you have all done well. Thanks a lot all.
