To kick off the CAASQ season in Victoria 2005, this first event will be hosted at Hektik Car Audio, Brunswick. Along with the event there will also be a BBQ, Drinks, Demo Cars on display (including the NEW Fusion Hummer), and some great discounts on products exclusive to attendees on the day.

Judging will take place at the rear of the Hektik building. (See attached image) Entry from Tinning Street (off Sydney Rd) and then turn right into lane way.

As Pro Show entrants are now expected to have their cars on display, judging will take place at each vehicle on location, so feel free to set up your display.

Competitors MUST be at the venue by 10.00am (This is important) for entry, scrutineering and class confirmation. Judging will start shortly after 10.30am.

OK the other thing I need to point out, is now that each state runs its own state series, we're not going to have the 6-7 interstate entrants. We are really going to need all of your support to sustain each state series now. So if you have ever thought of competing, or are just interested in getting feedback on your system, then please attend this event and compete. Also please let others know about it.

can I ask what happened to Novice class for this event?

The small amount of interest in this early time for [CAASQ] doesn't justify the costs of extra judges and trophies to cover this class. Sorry, but hopefully as the following gets bugger then we can offer Novice at some events.

Att: Judges. I understand there is two Pro Class Catagories, Show Pro and Street pro. If u have a wicked install you would go in show pro (obviously), then does the install in Street pro mean alot in terms of points? I have just a temporary install with no concern for cosmetics or function, just something i knocked up out a few bits of equipement and wood. It sounds ok and i want to see what it does. Then the new install starts after that for Show Pro. Can the points be transferred to the different class?

I found the answer, I just had to look harder. Still want to know if you can change classes mid season and if the points are tranferrable?

Unfortunately points are not transferrable no.

Understood, but you didn't say if i can change classes mid season, disregarding the points (read: lose the points). Also can I bring membeship payment on the day in cash form and recieve member rate to compete if i decide to?

You CAN change classes at any time and as often as you wish. But ... 1. You do not carry points over in the State Series. 2. You cannot compete in more than one class with one vehicle at events.

We don't get enough Pre Entry's as it is to allow us to decide whether events are justified and can break even holding them as it is, so we will just go ahead with them from here on.

Hektik have spent over $700 on trophies for this event, and we have to make it worth both their time and money, but also us organisers and judges!
