I've just purchased 2 pairs of Pioneer 6980S 6x9's. I understand they're labeled as free-air speakers or whatever but is there any way or enclosure method to amplify the bass to contibute to the overall SQ?
I'm a bass whore so i'm pushing for the best but I can't seem to find enclosure measurements on the internet anywhere.
Any help would be greatly appreciated...

small boxes generally - try something around the same volume as a tissue box or is mounting them in your doors deaden the crap out of your doors that about the best its gunna get for bass with 9x6s would have been better with 8" splits for bass
