I have a Fusion FCW-1500 2000wrms 15" sub (a very surprisingly tight sub for its power and very out of sink with its lower range brothers) tuned to 45hz high passed at 36db at 40hz and low passed at 24db at 100hz to blend in nicely with my 8" diamonds up front ( at around 120hz the sub starts to drift away from the fronts to the back so its undetectable for me at 100hz ) and also the car has massive sound deadening six litres of brush on sound deadening and massive amounts of Wurth deadening, boot lid is solid and roof is bitumin based carpet tiles under the lining . I own four but I have two PG Cyclones in a 3cf box each running low passed at 36db at 50hz and down tuned to 20hz but seems to play flat down to 8 hz without letting go ? maybe due to it being tuned above its 11hz fs? I've got eight Fusion Jonah amps but have advertised them in the classifieds as I'm getting my own one offs made in Korea. It was to have 5000wrms on the 15" alone.

Has anyone had experence with these subs, or know of any in cars in Australia/NZ. There was a Commodore ute around with one years ago? anyone know what happened to it. The Cyclone was known for its very low distortion levels but was plaqued by machanical noise. But as long as you remove the magnetic dust out of the motor, replaced the little bearings and made sure the vane wasn't touching the vent ramps its undetectable!!! You now have a very weird bass sound as you normally don't get it this clean...

Has anyone done a similar set up breaking up the sub/infra freqs? (and yes I do know infrasonics are 20hz down) but anyhow I've not seen much done in this country with infrasonics. Yes most music is not recorded with freqs this low but if you get a lightening strike recording etc you bloody feel it all right.
It can bee anoying with some poor recordings as I've been able to here the airconditioners in the recording studio as they have a low freq hum (as was explained to me). Even still if you add a Audio Control Epic 160 etc with the epicenter it regenerates a lower bass line-alsome feeling of power to the music...

and heres a pic and breef description of the sub

it would prolly work really well but you would need to BP the fusions and Im guessing you would want some underlap at the xover points even with the steep slopes your using.
I have heard the cyclones and I beleive they DO reproduce the brown note lol

Did he try to F**k you up the A** like he did me...I don't like being ripped off $7500.00. So I'm a little anti at the mo. Anyhow court action is in the process. If you need to know more pm me, if not it doesn't matter.
Zeropoint amps = theses a couple at my work somewhere. Nicely made units those.

I reviewed these in CSA back in the day and, while novel, there was simply no getting around the problem of chuffing between the vane tips and the inner sides of the 'tub'. Due to the design this tiny air gap had to exist, and therefore had to leak.

Still, my hat is off to Larry Fredericks for designing it. Had beers with him once - could talk the ears of anyone.

If you ever get the chance, measure the response outdoors with it sitting on the ground in the current sub box,i want to see how they go without cabin gain vs cone drivers.

Reminds me of the servodrive pulley motor

Distortion, Full Rated Power <1% typical !!!!!!
