I finally got around to installing my recently purchase X360 x-overs (huge props to George (ICACHA) )

I have never, heard my Boston Pro's sound as good as what they do now. The door subs are tearing my interior apart, even without my sub, I am getting solid dance music bass and taut kick drums.

I know alot of people, said it wouldn't work, but people, my god did it work.

Well that's been my day so far... CAASQ is looking good now smile.gif

bah now you come out to play!
ill be retired i think by the next comp sad.gif

^^^ Bah, you never fully retire from SQ, once its in your blood it stays there, it might get pushed aside, but it always returns.

Come on Bobby, come play with me smile.gif

hee, hee, where there's a will, there's a way. you've obviously gone about it in the correct manner to overcome any hurdles. well done.

Shiny-- no pics, unfortunately... The woofers are mounted in the standard Integra speaker location, although there is now about 10 layers of deadener in the doors, the mids are in the kicks in custom fibreglass mounts. The tweeters are mounted in the "A" pillars on pods, the MASSSSSIIVVEE crossovers are under the seats.

Pics will follow soon as the rest of the hatch install is completed....

Nice one. Im currently putting some 10inch subs in my front doors too, however ive got horns so im using a 2way setup.

What frequency are your subs playing up to?

63hz up to 800hz

Clinton, your not playing your subs from 63hz to 800hz...

Please explain? Dyn crossovers cut 700hz and 4.5khz so you mid woofers (presuming the ones you have in your doors) are playing from 700hz down. your mids are playing from 700 to 4500 and your tweeters are doing the rest from 4500 up.

now the mid woofers you'd want to cross over from 50-80 up and have your subs playing down from that point.

Good to hear they are working extremely good. biggrin.gif

George.. on the H/U its highpassed from 63--> So from 63-700hz will run to the 8' subs (which are in the doors) 700-4.5hz for the Boston 4" mid and 4.5khz and above to the Pro tweeter..

My actual subs (in the hatch) are running from 80hz down, so I get overlap with my midbass...

Or is that wrong??
icacha
nah thats right, but you can lower the sub x-over to 63 and use 12db slope on both to get the over lap or even 6db.
