Hi,

I'm thinking to get 2 x 12"W3V2 JL Audio subs off a friend of mine
I've already got one Audison LRX 2.500

I'm not too sure whether the amp will be capable to power up those 2 subs...

Can anyone tell me if the amp will do fine?

In term of SQ..are they good combination?

thanks
need quick reply

well, it's 4ohm stable when bridged. so each sub would need to be the D4 (DVC 4+4ohm) model (ie: wired for 8ohm each).

otherwise, it won't be properly impedence-matched (eg: trying to wire up a 2ohm load to that amp = won't work).

so W3V2 have 2 types: D2 and D4? and to be able to run them off my Audison I need the D4 version...is that what you are saying?

How do I find out whether the subs are D4 or not?

bad news..they are actually just W3 not W3V2.

Do you think 2 x 12"W3 will make a good SQ??
He also offered me a Kicker Amp KX400.1 to go with the subs...what do you guys think?

I could sell my Audison LRX 2.500 and use the Kicker KX400.1 instead and save some $$$
