I am considering getting an Eclipse deck. And just need some opinions.

Looks wise I am more keen towards the older 04 range. And if i do get the 04 range i would most probably go for the CD5444. But at the same time since the 05 range is like out i am not very sure which way to go. I am more keen on the SQ and was wondering will the new decks like the CD5435 be a better deck in terms of sound quality. As i am pretty sure they are 1-bit DAC and the CD5444 are 24 -bit.

Will that be a major differences in sound? Just dun wanna go wrong getting the wrong deck.

If possible get the 8455. it have a lot of better feature for SQ. it also give you more bands in EQ section. it also have auto EQ. not a realtime one but still good

Thanx for that. =) But seriously I am not really to spend that much for a Dac. My budget max would be $600 or so. But i am still looking for better sound quality Decks.

Will go have a look around at shops tomorrow.... just to get a browse. Most prob leaning towards Eclipse or Clarion.

I finally purchased the CD5444 today. Have yet to get it fitted in the car yet. But yes I hope I did make the right decision. Well I gotta say the more you look at that unit the better looking it becomes.

Dun really like the new model.... too bling bling for me. =)

Could someone tell me the difference between the 8455 and the model it replaces? (the 8454)?. Im sure theres a bees dick in it, mostly just a cosmetic upgrade would I be correct?

1 has been added to its model number sorry I have no idea...maybe check eclipse'e web site ?

Just got the 5444 installed in my car.... i gotta say it sound awesome! =) Love it! Got the system tuned as well. Very happy with the purchase.

A very big bee's dick. More Sq controls, A navagation thing (tells you where to go) Better animation screen & will pull better looking chic's, there is a list of other things it does over the older model, I just can't remember them all.
