Hey guys,

Had an sq friend of mine listen to my car not long ago and he commented that my driver's side mid was "not hitting hard enough".

I pulled my kicks out last night to have a look and i'd have to agree with him.

I crude test i know - but by simply lightly placing my finger on the speaker while it is playing the difference I feel between the left and right speaker is quite noticable.

All crossover mid and tweeter settings are on 0db on both sides. I have checked and rechecked the wiring (Both from the amp to the crossover and from the crossover to the speaker). The speaker is not touching any metal nor out of phase. The tweeter and the woofer seem to have the same proportionate output as the other side - it's just the mid that is lacking.

Just so you know the setup is the hertz 3 way crossover with the HT25 tweeter, hm1000 mid and hv200l 8 inch woofer.

What are everyone's idea's on the reduced output from the mid? Could it be the speaker? The crossover? Where could I get things like this repaired if i need to? (I doubt they are still within warranty)

Swap the crossovers over, if swaps its the crossovers.

Swap the drivers over, if swaps then its the drivers.

If still no change swap the input and outputs going into the amp.

If your playing mp3's ull find the right channel is quieter than the left channel for some reason, a wave form editor such as cool edit will show you this. Then again my right ear could just be ****ed tongue.gif
